With ancestry from the Mi'kmaq people of Newfoundland and the English people of Bath, I integrate the teachings of the medicine wheel into both my personal and professional life.
I believe that creating art can profoundly support physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Art allows us to re-experience our stories and struggles in new ways, allowing deeper connections with ourselves, our bodies, those around us, and our communities. My mission is to guide people in honouring their stories and reclaiming their connections to live more whole and meaningful lives.
Using Focusing-Oriented Therapy, I encourage individuals to notice their body’s sensations rather than their thoughts. This shift in attention creates space for curiosity and compassion, facilitating personal growth and healing.
I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and Art Therapy from Adler University in Vancouver. I am registered with the B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors and am a professional member of the B.C. Art Therapy Association. I have also completed a two-year training program in Focusing-Oriented Therapy, a body-centred modality. I am a registered therapist with the Crime Victim Assistance program (CVAP) and with the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA).
